Darren Gardner DDS, Provo Dentist
Smile Design, Cosmetic Dentistry
One of the most satisfying things we do in our office is creating confident smiles. A confident smile can actually change lives! We like to take extra effort in creating a smile that our patients are thrilled with! We want to be sure that the dental work doesn't just look good, but is done with a high level of precision and accuracy for the longest lasting restorations possible. We also want to help you look great and have a healthy mouth, with as little dentistry as possible.
The first step in smile design is the cosmetic consultation. At this visit, we discuss your goals and some possible solutions. After this discussion, records like x-rays, impressions, and photographs are taken to gather all necessary information to formulate treatment plan options that are customized to your wants and needs. After Dr. Gardner has analyzed all of this information, he will meet with you for a second consultation to discuss the treatment options that are available. As part of this discussion, Dr. Gardner will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each option to help you choose the best plan for you.
Before beginning treatment, we like to give you the opportunity to try the new smile on first. This allows you to preview what you will look like with the new smile and gives us an opportunity to make any necessary changes- before treatment is started. It is very exciting to see the difference your new smile will make!
After treatment has begun, temporaries will be placed that will be shaped like the final crowns. During the temporary period, the temporaries can be reshaped or changed if you desire. The final crowns will then be made to match the temporaries after you have approved of them. Some offices skip these steps and you get what you get. Needless to say, not everyone is satisfied using that approach!
